I am Meeling – an artist with roots in China and Germany, and based in Sweden for over two decades. In my works, East and West, the stillness of nature and the movement of life, meet in an expression that is both personal and universal.

My abstract acrylic paintings are created in an interplay between color and form, where each brushstroke is an interpretation of emotions, moods and moments. I draw inspiration from the changes of nature, the movements of light and what is often overlooked in everyday life – but also from the innermost: relationships, memories, presence and inner processes.

My family and my dogs are an important part of my creative life. They remind me of what is fundamental to both art and life – playfulness, stillness, and unconditional presence.

Each original painting is an attempt to express what cannot be captured in words – a silent story that lives on in the viewer. I want my art to invite reflection, to create atmosphere, to touch and to find a place in your particular environment.
