Sisters of Stillness consists of two abstract paintings that belong together, yet each retain their own expression. Against the dark surfaces, recurring imprints, shapes, and fragments emerge in shades of turquoise, beige, and gold. Some forms become distinct, while others shift or almost disappear into the various layers of the paintings.

Between the two paintings is a distance that is also part of the work. Here, proximity and separation, similarities and differences meet. Both parts engage in a quiet dialogue without mirroring each other.

To me, stillness is not about absence, but about what can exist between people – that which lingers and that which cannot always be expressed in words.
